No. Applicants do not have to be residing in Asia, but they must be holders of an Asian passport.

Existing sponsorships may affect eligibility and selection due to your current contractual obligations and program partnerships. Each case will be reviewed individually.
We might be organizing some trial tournaments in collaboration with our partners. These are not mandatory but will increase your chances of being selected if you do well.
Talents must be available to travel to the USA from late March through to June. UPA Asia reserves the right to alter these dates.
This will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but UPA Asia will reserve the right to recoup back any investments it has made so far into the talent.
This will be evaluated on the merit of each request on an event-by-event basis.

The training will not exceed 90 days. You will be playing a minimum of 3 PPA Tour events and attending MLP events.
You will be staying at shared apartments during your stay in Maryland, and hotels at events. Professional training facilities and coaches will be provided.
The US extends visa waivers to citizens of participating countries for up to 90 days. You may check the US Government website for further information. Otherwise, you may be required to apply for a B-1 visa. PPA will provide supporting letters but all visa applications will be the responsibility of the talent.
No arrangements will be made for an accompanying person. They may come at their own cost but manage their own accommodation, transport, event tickets and all other matters. They will not be allowed to join any training sessions.
